So many mention video production problems in this thread, I guess I want to re-iterate them.
1. On Camera Microphones - Production Audio. - Results in the operator breathing - Camera operation noise, like tape running or zoom motor noise. - Stereo or TV running in the background with music or television dialogue. - Audible instructions from operator or director not edited out.
2. Video related issues.
- Loss of eye-line, either to the other actor or to the camera. As in girl is talking and then looks dead in the lens or while looking straight into the lens looks up or to the side at the director or other, such as video monitor. - Remotes in the shot for solo videos. - Auto-focus errors - Lighting equipment, light-stands or crew in the shot (breaks suspension of disbelief.) - Non sourceless hard light, which also may result in the operators shadow cast onto the talent. - No light, high gain on camera resulting in a lot of CCD noise/grain in picture.
3. Bad post production.
- Audible cuts - Dialogue kept in stereo - Operator noise - Video transitions due to an interruption that come back to the same shot size or better yet jump cut to the same shot size. - Color errors, for daylight or tungsten or fluorescent, where flesh-tones look green or extremely orange. - Interlaced video published to the web without de-interlacing it, resulting in comb artifacts, web delivery is progressive only.
4. Operator errors - Camera's set to Auto Iris, Auto F-Stop, Auto Gain (ISO) where the brightness of the picture even in a locked tripod shot changes through out the video. - Operators or others footsteps or other noise, unless the operator is speaking and its a "verite" - reality video. - Lack of camera stabilization or steady hands resulting in an episode of COPS not a video. - Failure to observe minimal focal distance, sticking the camera so close - most have 0.5ft minimal that it cannot possibly refocus on a wide angle closeup. - Lack of understanding that TV video is cropped just a bit and internet delivery is like video with "overscan" enabled resulting in clutter at the frame edges. - Stepping into a source of light creating a shadow onto the talent.
* Dude hands in the video (GET YOUR FUCKING HANDS OUT OF THE WAY! I'M TRYING TO HAVE A WANK HERE). Indeed, any sort of dude presence is a wood-softener.
* Dom/sub stuff (just turn the audio down though). Same with any sort of contrived conversation, come to think of it.
* Videos that give you 20 seconds of endless intro crap (this video by, starring so and so, copyright message here, produced by such and such... oh ffs!) At that point, I will be sitting there, tissue wrapped around my knob, rolling my eyes, sighing with annoyance.
* Foot worship. Never really got into it - the only sort of foot worship that interests me is when I have real female feet in front of me - I never got into seeing it in pictures/vids.
Melanie makes lots of good points above. The most annoying one for me is televisions playing in the background. How hard could it be to turn it off first?
There's probably other stuff that doesn't come to mind right now. Anyway, that's what I could think of offhand.

Mainstream porn videos that advertise foot material but usually end up being one of two scenarios
1. Guy worships girl's feet for 2 minutes, gets a 1 minute footjob bangs her for 20 minutes pulls out cums on her feet
2. Guy worships girls feet for 10 minutes, footjob in between switching sexual positions pulls out cums on her face(I don't know about you but in "foot fetish" clips I don't care to see facials)

I see a lot on here that I agree and disagree with.
I don't mind men in feet videos, as long as its not exclusive men (gay ff). I'm not there for the guy's feet, and if a guy is worshipping some hot feet I am down. I also love smelly feet and girls that brag about this.
I agree that poor production quality (background music, poor shots) can destroy the prettiest of feet. Also the whole talking down thing (slaves, dom/sub, giantess crushing) never did it for me, and i'm always dissappointed when foot fetish tube is overrun with this crap. And long toe nails... gross. Or even short toe nails that you can see the dirt under them, very gross.
A couple of my big pet peeves:

Your geeky knowledge of video production is a turn on. Most of the things you listed are minor and I can usually ignore them. Highly produced Playboy-style videos are nice, but the low-budget realism of the web also has a place. One of the production problems that really detracts for me, though, is the color problems that you mentioned. There's nothing sexy about green flesh. I've also come across a lot of videos where the brightness is way off, so the foot or whatever body part is totally washed out and you can't even see it.
I personally think that color tone is possibly the most important aspect of porn. I play with my monitor's color settings a lot, and sometimes it really makes a huge improvement. I'm currently subscribed to coedfeet, and the still photos are very good, except perhaps for some color balance issues. But a lot of times the video suffers from color problems that become distracting. Jessica's beautiful tan skin sometimes takes on a greenish tint.
