quote: But since I believe in God, and understand the inherent human desires I believe He's instilled in us, then I deal with these desires the best ways I know how.
I guess in the end, this is all we CAN do, I mean there are different doctrines of Christianity..too many in fact and they all believe THEY are correct on issues, this is why some people throw in the towel because there's too many "rights" in the pot.But thanks for clarifying this quote,I believe this is the most LIKELY to be the case.

Any time Bro! And thank you for taking me to the task for some explaining...seriously!
These kinds of questions and pointers make me think about where I stand on things, and I'm always happy to have some friendly conversation about it.
You're right...there are A LOT of denominations within Christianity, and sometimes it can get overwhelming when you look at all of them as a whole (though I don't necessarily think they ALL perceive each other as wrong)...but I heard a pretty simple saying once that I think helps to cut through all of the red tape in these differences in religion:
Religion kills...Jesus saves.
So personally speaking, I don't go to church because of exactly what you just mentioned in your post. I've got what I believe to be God's word in the Bible, and I think I'm pretty capable of reading it and learning from it myself. Some folks feel more comfortable in following along with another person's interpretation of that book, and that's fine if that is what works for them. Personally, I'd rather read it and garner my own understanding.
