Has anyone played this game? Playstation Plus had one of those hour long play demos online. At first, the training sequence scared me as there was so much stuff to learn and it all used just a handful of the buttons - and mostly the shoulder ones.

By the end of the hour, however, I was kinda digging it. It's really different than anything I've played. It's in first person mode and although you can grab weapons, don't waste your time trying to go toe to toe with the cops. First of all, you have to disarm them (which the controls are timing and attack based at the same time). Then the aiming is so so. It's often best to just run by them and leap to the next area.

The main focus on this game is stringing together leaps, slides, wall runs, and other zany movements to go from rooftop to rooftop and even through buildings, subway tunnels and just about any other place found in a city.

The color scheme is almost all white with splashes of basic colors like red, yellow, blue, green and orange thrown around. It's very clean, but the colors help you keep your focus. This game wouldn't work without it.

Here's a trailer for it:

This game was pretty spectacular. I liked the fact that is was a first-person game that didn't have an emphasis on shooting and more about stealth and exploration. If you've ever played the Thief series, it certainly pays some some of homage to that.

They've been trying to get a sequel done for years now, but the first game had mediocre sales, so it's been a struggle. I'd really like to see it get done.

Game Informer Magazine had a long feature story about Thief. In a quick Google search, I found this, but the magazine article was quite long.

Yeah I remember playing this when I first got my PS3. Pretty good game but I couldn't stray away from the FPS that I love so much
