Hey all! Soooooo my clips4sale thang was bust. ONE person bought the set. Pathetic. I'm assuming it was due to the horrible set up with the "gizmo card" being the only payment option. Well, fuck that! Just buy it from meeee

Generally the photo sets don't sell well. Clips4Sale sells clips. Is that what you were using, or were you selling the photo sets in their photo store?
You could also stand to be a little more vocal around here and other places to let people know what's going on and that you're around. Unless they saw that one post not too long ago, I'd think most people still think you're long gone. So many girls come in say hello and never come back for months, or even years - even if they're still doing stuff. You HAVE to make your presence known. Money just won't fall in your lap throwing something online. It has to be a passion and at least a part time job.

Her set was up on Images4Sale. She had the link in her signature, I believe.
I think if anybody was a fan of hers, they saw her post and took note of it. In fact, there were a great many who wondered (and posted here) about C4S' policies (i.e. that damn Gizmo Card).
I understand you're just trying to help, but maybe she doesn't have as much time to spend dickering around on the board as you or me.

This can be true, but you will only get what you put into it. I honestly figured she left again. We have just seen it time and time again as the sites/models come in strong and then are gone, pop back up, then do the same. You don't have to advertise daily or anything. That's not what I am saying. I am not on here advertising, although it does help. I like this community, so my lazy ass will be on here quite a bit when relaxing. Just saying popping up once in a while will HELP sell images/clips/etc.
Thanks for the suggestions but in this case there were a lot of people already interested in this specific set but they couldn't pay on that site because they have a complicated payment method. I did have it in their image store. Like I said, this post was basically referencing this specific set that has a lot of people who wanted to get it but couldn't. It's also linked in my signature banner. I gotta say as far as foot models go I'm pretty vocal. Maybe i could be more-so but it's kinda hard when it's aimless. I don't have a website, Almost everyone who ordered a custom set seemed to flake out. I'm just a girl with a computer, a camera and feet. I'd definitely be more active if i found any lucrative means of distributing my content. But for now I'm broke as fuck and don't feel like putting so much time and effort into something I just get complimented on. Thanks for the advice, though. ~Dae
Just trying to be a help. I know a ton of people, including a couple friends, thought that if they just put something online with a hot girl say "here it is" that people will throw money at it and they'll be all kinds of rich.
My point was even if you're mingling on here, you're promoting. I know you don't have a site, but if you are posting clips/image sets, you sorta do. There are people out there that bury my website income with clips stores. I don't make a ton off what I do at all. I just love it and it covers itself with a little extra.
With so many people putting content out there for free, you have to do something to give people a reason to want to do it too. I have talked about doing seperate side sites with a few of my models, but I knew they wouldn't put effort into it, so I didn't follow through. Whether it be emailing fans, coming on forums, etc., I just knew it would be all me. And sure, I could probably do it off name alone, but I have to do that enough with Soles of Silk. You being a girl (a hot one too) will have that instantly, especially on places like here.
I don't have an image/clips store so I don't know the whole deal with how people have to pay for that stuff. I just know that there are people out there making bank on it.
Again, not trying to lecture or anything, just trying to help out someone whose photos I've admired over the years and know got the raw end of a deal or two in the past with a site we don't discuss much on here. Would be nice to see you around and get you a little more well deserved exposure.

Heads up. Don't give up, don't be discouraged, but trying to sell anything online these days is generally shit. Blame it on the recession or whatever.
It's just shit.

Daemoness, don't know if you want to hear this based on what you've been saying, but you might want to offer a couple of sets and see if people might buy different ones. It kind of seems like you're forcing one on people right now. I love your modelling personally, but I checked the thumbnails on your image site and noticed a lot of them are nylons. Those I'd probably never look at. The point is, you can't make one flavor of drink and try to make everyone buy it. Just because one set doesn't sell well or as you expected doesn't mean that another one won't. Trust me, I'm clear on the frustration of making something and trying to put it out there to find little to no interest. I'm trying to get a novel published right now and it's basically an uphill fight. It does not mean I'm going to give up on something I want to do for lack of immediate gratification. The other thing has already been brought up, people thought your return was just a flash in the pan kind of thing. Truth be told, you kind of showed up and disappeared and are now back out of the blue being somewhat demanding that people buy your photoset. It won't necessarily work that way. You're catering to an underground market that is based solely on the internet (no pun intended). Like Patrick said this really isn't a field to get rich in immediately. You also have to consider a lot of the people on the web and the forum don't have a ton of money to start with so they will probably be selective to begin with. I know I am. i only throw down for things I really want and will get use out of due to limited funds. To wrap it all up, offering some more options wouldn't be a bad thing for you. If you shoot more lead in the air, you're bound to hit more targets eventually. Luckily taking pictures is fairly low on overhead and you don't have to rent out a storefront or anything. I think you could work out selling sets through your personal hotmail on the forums without need of a storefront or some card bs, but if you find a hosting space that's not mired in red tape that's good too. Just some suggestions, hope something in there helps.
