I absolutely despise long toenails no matter how well pedicured they are. IMO long toenails can ruin an otherwise beautiful pair of feet. I was wondering how you guys feel about them.

It depends on what your definition of long toenails is exactly. I don't mind for toenails to just barely grow past the toe, but any longer than that is a real turn off for me.

I like em. It's a higher degree of difficulty for a model to be successful in main stream foot fetish, though. Some girls can pull the look off, some can't, kind of like short hair.

OK, maybe if they are just barley longer than the big toe only. Not the other toes. I still prefer them neatly trimmed, short.

I'm assuming youre talking about significantly longer than "average" toenails. Don't like them. I prefer them neat and trim. The really long ones remind me of "talons". Can't deal with those at all.

Although not as bad as really long, I don't like to see them trimmed too short either. Seems like Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus do that (or have it done) lots.

The problem with a question like this is the word "long" is extremely relative depending on each persons perception.
There has to be a starting point or something to compare and contrast to.
Here are a couple threads I posted regarding my wifes toenail length. Personally, for me its about the toenail bed combined with the length. I like a nice full long nail bed with toenails just past the toes. Just like my wifes. I think they are perfect. Judge for yourself.
i dont like long nails at all. i will admit i have to look and once i saw a woman with what you would probably call talons and i couldnt tear my eyes away but i chalk that up to what was more of a trainwreck fascination.
aerodrew, although your wife's feet are attractive, i do find her nails way too long for me.

I voted for the last option. I despise them.
The toenails should be large, in relation to the size of the toe, centrally and symmetrically placed. They should be the size of tiny television screens rather than of seashells. They should be short enough so that they don't touch the edge of her shoes or cut into adjacent toes, but long enough so that they provide some protection to the tip of her toes.

Sorta moot. I've seen long nails and I find them sexy, I've seen short nails and also find them sexy. Depends on the feet themselves on whether they suit them or not.

I kind of like them as they give me a bit of a challenge to work around.... Even if I hated them, I'd still love them on a couple of my favorites like Janet Mason, who is always on the the longish side and of course the European goddess herself, Lady Barbara, whose super long big toe nail is a symbol of hers for years.

The toenails on Aerodrews wifes feet are perfect in length. That's as long as I like them. My wife keeps them trimmed but I wish she would let them grow just a little bit longer, where the nail grows just past the toe. But its uncomfortable for her when she wears shoes.

I'm with you.. Even though I am very happy and content with her length, I wouldn't mind them just a tad bit longer. But, when they are much longer the chance of her bumping or hitting her toe on something and breaking a nail is greater. Plus, she works out and runs.

I personally do not like long toenails. Anything past the toe I consider too long and gross.

Not into toenails that are too short. They look masculine to me. Same with abnormally long toes. But thats the beauty of this fetish, so much variety in whats available we all get what we want.

No offense to anyone with a preference for them, but extremely short nails aren't feminine to me at all. I always get reminded of children's feet or men's toes when I see women with such ridiculously short toenails that so many seem to find "sexy." I feel like a lot of folks who deride longer nails automatically conjure up images of women from Ripley's Believe it or Not with nails longer than our arms. As for the "toenail grime" angle, I always use the longer hair analogy. A girl with long hair has to maintain it well for it to be considered attractive, more than a woman with short hair would by virtue of having more to work with. For a girl with slightly longish nails to catch my eye, they'd have to be very well kept.
And I feel like we guys into longer nails have to keep saying this, but Aeordrew said it pretty well. It's not all about the length of the nail, itself. If a woman has short, stubbly toes, odds are her nailbeds will be correspondingly small/short. So even if she had long nails, they would look...less than appealing. Her nailbeds have to be large and full, usually meaning longer toes, fuller toes in my experience. At that point, the nail itself looks like it's long, even if it doesn't extend past the tip of her toes. A bit of length past the tips is a bonus for style points if pulled off right.
But again, this is personal preference. I know as far as I'm concerned my taste for feet grew from my childhood, where a lot of women liked to get their cuticles pushed back to make their nailbeds bigger and have slightly longer nails.
