Iknow exactly where you're coming from. I just sent an email to a fellow candid taper that I'm thinking of hanging it up this year. My behavior has definitely become compulsive and I've compartmentalized to a degree that even Bill Clinton would condemn.
Last spring, summer and early fall, I spent about 60% of my free time in parks and college greens pursuit of footplay to candidly record. As much as I've enjoyed some of the results of my efforts, I can't help feeling guilty about it and ashamed that I'm such a big pervert.
In a lot of ways its almost too easy! Even when the woman knows what I'm up to, she'll keep it up as if I'm not even there. Being able to go my favorite city park and witnessing wiggling rubbing feet on the lawn makes it very hard for me to resist recording the action.
Anyway, wish me luck this summer fellas. I'm going to really try to finally stop. At the very least I'll leave my camcorder at home and just ogle instead. One step at a time!

And I thought that stopping in here most every day was getting excessive! Feet have always been important to me but, as with anything else (save, perhaps, smoking), it doesn't run my life. This is not to say I don't take advantage of opportunities to indulge myself - I may not take the most direct route home if I can pass through a park or by a beach where I know that I will get a visual treat but I won't let it distract me from the other things that I also consider important such as loved ones or promises I've made.
I think that foot-fetishes are about as harmless as any others that one could name. Still, one can cross a very hard-to-find fine line as regards what others might find an invasion. I have surreptitiously taken some "candids" but I have done it in such a way that I am satisfied that I haven't crossed the line.
Good luck on "kicking the habit". Don't beat yourself up with guilt, either, unless you're really letting others down by your indulgences.
It might to be important to point out that that if you over-expose yourself to something that you find truly sexy, it will start to lose its appeal. Over the years, there have been a bunch of things that I found very stimulating and would throw myself at it. After a bit of over-indulgence, I would emerge from it thinking, "Well, that was nice...what else is there? There's got to be something better than that". That hasn't happened to me as far as women's feet - they have always been my favorite - so much so they have always been the dessert and never the main course.

yes it is definitely crazy and too much will make you bonkers for feet.
i had the problem of being bonkers for feet for quite some time. i have only recently discovered how to tone it down and that is by actively trying to focus your thoughts of desires toward more normal things like vaginal sex as an example.
it is working for me. mind you i still have the feet cravings, but they are becoming less than the freak obsessed foot fetishist that I was. i am now even more proud to represent (and join) my less affectionate foot fetish brethren

To answer a few points and co-incide with what others have been saying, i dont think it is a bad thing but maybe should just tone it down abit before it gets too much and i actually dont get the same enjoyment out of it like i do now as one of you said above..

it tugs and sucks at me.. but for now.. i don't feel 'too deep'. mainly because i don't want everyone to figure out i'm into feet.. and plus.. my wife gets a little upset if i don't show control. and i don't want to upset her... because when she's upset... feet become harder to come by.

I would not say that I'm obsessed because I do not do anything that would get me throw in jail or slapped by a unsuspecting girl.
