That movie was great, I dunno what the hell else anyone was expecting but over the top action, over the top hamming it up by Brad Pitt, and your standard Tarantino dialogue. Of course, I'm a Tarantino fan, so I may be a bit biased, but the whole theater roared with applause at the end of the movie.
The trick is, you just can't take it too seriously, because the movie doesn't take itself that seriously either. Also, just remember it's not a war movie. It's set during World War II, but it is not a war movie, a la Saving Private Ryan, in the least.
Quite frankly though, it may have been the manliest movie to have come out in some time. Which is very high praise from me.

Ok not as bad as death proof, but the same formula, which is; "blah, blah, blah" dialog for 20, 25 minutes, 1 minute of action, back to "blah, blah, blah" Oh, and majority of "blah, blah", is in french and german!
Plenty of time to take a pee break, you won't miss a thing.
Feet scenes, nothing to jack off to, but has anyone ever jacked off to any of his foot scenes? And if you can jack off to the feet in the circumstances they are shown in this film, you are a freak.
Diane Kruger's feet are basically the only feet, and they are messed up. Big bunions that even distorts her soles. taratino can't cast feet to save his life.
Save your money, but if you do go, wait until 2 hours have passed and go in, you won't miss anything. Order it on netflix if you just have to see it.
I will have to give props to Christoph Waltz, who really nailed his part.
2 stars.
I'd give it 2.5 or 3 stars. Christopher Waltz played the "Jew Hunter" Nazi guy, Hans Landa. I agree, his performance was extraordinary. And I've never heard of him before in my life!
I agree, Tarantino has--for someone purported to be a foot fetishist--some fucked-up taste in feet. Uma Thurman's feet get the most screen time with him, but they're ... kinda idiosyncratic. Not what I'd call stunningly beautiful feet, and not the feet I'd put on my Eve if I were God making the first woman!
He sucked the toes of Salma Hayek in "From Dusk Till Dawn," and they are some of the fugliest toes I know of in cinema. (The idiot would've been wiser to get Juliette Lewis' toes into his mouth! )
I didn't dislike the movie as much as Coedfeet apparently did, though. It did move a little slowly, and I expected a LOT more violence than the audience was given.
One thing about it that I will criticize overtly is Tarantino's decision to do some stupid shit vis a vis injecting his '70s gonzo style into some aspects. It came across as just stupid. (When you see it, you'll know what I'm talking about.)
As for the feet that you did see, I agree, they were not all that nice. Mildly buniony, yes. From the sole view, they were passable, but not from the top view. And, um, the sole view was of the feet of a chick being murdered... Hardly what I could get off to.

Nah, she has fugly big toes.
You sir are crazy. Her short ass 3 second foot scene in Jackie Brown is like my fave in all QT movies. I would dunked her toes in my Scotch and licked it off.
Oh and Inglourious Basterds was so badass. I might put it 2nd of all QT movies. I have to see it again though.

The movie plot was ok i guess, but HORRIBLY historically innacurate! I am a stickler for this, and it failed the test in multiple directions. Also quite over-acted on a few actors' parts as well. Even though the feet were ugly, the scene was very well put into the film..however I was waiting for the German Detective to sniff the shoe after picking it up..oh well. See it if you dare..Netflix would be the way to go on this.

One more thing to add, when Tarantino casts his films and finds the actors perfect for a film, is he really gonna turn then down if they don't have perfect feet?... I would bet his real life girlfriend might though!... Tarantino is a film director first, he's not making porn, just adding a personal touch & giving us a good rep!

I agree. I saw the movie and thought it was good. As far as being based on historic facts, it wasn't meant to be historically accurate! It has multiple storylines which intersect at one point in the movie, which, I think, is very much like QT. As far as the foot scene goes, I agree that her foot is a little "buniony". However, I did like the photography used at the point where her shoe is taken off. It also looked like she has a pretty decent arch and the head-on sole shot was really good too.

The movie had a good dash of those old World War II comics featuring Captain America routinely kicking Hitler's ass every issue. Nothing wrong with some historical inaccuracy when it's clear from the get go that's not what the movie was going for.
Fuck, you wanna talk about historical inaccuracy in serious movies, let me point you to Braveheart, Gladiator, etc.
