LOL, yeah I knew about his renaissance thing. What particularly disturbs me about it isn't the fact that one of the rock guitar greats is playing music is right out of the 15th Century, it's the fact that he's dressing the part!

I must have missed this topic. I like these threads.

First concert; Elvis, 1975 in Houston.

This year, too many to count, but the notable ones were:

Motley Crue
System of a Down
Cheap Trick (3 times for the wife)
Misfits
Dio
Anthrax
ZZ Top

I would have to get out the tix and passes to name them all, but I think there were about 35+ this year?

Did you see Anthrax when they were opening for Judas Priest or was this a show they headlined?

Anthrax was doing their own House of Blue's show!

I haven't seen Priest this time around yet. I would like too though, just to see how they still sound live.

If that new album of theirs (Angel of Retribution) is any indication of how they sound live today, then chances are that their show must be kickass because I've heard a number of tracks off the album and I was totally blown away. I've always been a much bigger Maiden fanatic than a Priest fan, but this new stuff has really made me pay attention thus far. As for Anthrax, I'm real glad that they've stuck "Medusa" and "Armed & Dangerous" back into the set list for most of their current live gigs because those were two songs that they outright refused to play live for many years. I'm also real glad that Joey is back in the fold again because for me they just weren't Anthrax without him.

They played here in October. I couldn't get tickets when they went on sale because I was broke and then I completely forgot about it until the day of the concert when I saw an article in the paper about. By then I was broke again and I was really disappointed because I found out that Anthrax was opening up for them. I didn't even know that they opening up at first otherwise I would have made sure to put some money aside. That had to have been an awesome show.

There are some bootlegs from this tour that are available. I've seen a couple on a few forums. Are you interested in a bootleg from this tour?

Spending hundreds of dollars on 1 seat to watch rockstars waay past their prime and burnt out from drugs who onely do this shit for the money now is lame.don't get me wrong,I respect the stones,I love 'paint it black' and 'sympathy for the devil' and respect their contribution to rock, but I'm not gonna be their sucker and spend all that money to see them live....I saw sabbath(yes they're past their prime to but) and a bunch of other bands for 75 bucks..now that's resonable

I didn`t even know they were still around. I saw them about a decade ago.
Do they still go apeshit on stage, squirting blood and guts everywhere?
