To answer your question Hal, yes Gwar is still around. They still go crazy on stage. I saw them in Washington. When I went into the club everything was covered in plastic. By the end of the show everything was covered in fake blood. It was bad ass.

Ok I just saw 2 bands in 2 nites wich were 69 eyes on sun,and SISTERS OF MERCY last nite...69 eyes were good, kinda like seeing the misfits/ramones/motley crue/and type o negative all in 1....sisters of mercy were amazing, the songs seem to be more "indrustrial and metal" live.andrew eldriche/von(lead singer) still has it even after 20somthing years, rockin a shaved head now..what made it intresting was how he knew how to minipulate the elements of the smoke and lights.it was like @ times all you'd see is this shadow figure, then he would disapear into the smoke, then all you would see is his face outta the smoke with the lights hitting it..I know they're known to be generally boring live but last nite I'd swear they were one of the top 5 shows I've been to,and that says a lot being I've been to a shitload of shows...anyone else check them out on this tour??

I didn't, but by any chance was the show you went to at Webster Hall? I passed by it last night on E.11th as I made my way up to midtown for a foot party I was throwing near Penn Station, and I recall seeing that they were billed. Small world!

stange how i pretty much arcive my conerts here lol...last nite saw rob zombie/lacuna coil wich was a pretty kick ass show.i couldnt tell if the chick from lacuna coil had open toed boots on cause of where i was standing in the crowd, but it looked like she was wearing regular boots being @ one point i could see from the calf up,n it looked like she had those cheap looking shits you would get ina hottopic lol.in anycase they were pretty good and was glad to hear their cover of enjoy the silence that depeche mode did orginally....rob zombie acually suprised me cause i herd he tamed his show down with no pyro, strippers or theactrics, but he acually held it down pretty solid, and the giant screen with old horror b movies was a nice touch.he did alot of white zombie songs wich the enormouse crowd and 2 pits seemed to enjoy.good show check it out if the tour hits around your way
