Sorry for butting in on your thread but don't play... I can play the basic chords to some songs but that's about it.... Would luv to learn to play properly plus the piano aswell but my procrastinational (Not too sure if procrastinational is a word ) attitude puts me on the back foot so all I can say is... "I'll learn to play tomorrow "....

I've been jammin' on my guitar for almost 20 years now. I'm mostly self taught, but I've learned some cool tips and tricks recently by doing Google and YouTube video searches, and I'm persuing my interest in studying music theory and how it applies to my playing.
Mainly I'm an old-skuel palm-muting down-stroking crunchy-chunky mosh-pit metal-head (Overkill, Pantera, Testament), but I've recently refined my skills to learning Yngwie, Satriani, and some classic classical pieces by Bach and Mozart.
I've been wanting to post some video of me playing my gee-tar, but I'm too much of a perfectionist and I'm never satisfied with the end result. One day though...

Been playing guitar for about 19 years. Been working a lot lately with different song writers and bands etc with various styles. Have a few gigs lined up soon.
Would like to write more myself but have had a hard time getting back the enthusiasm after a soul destroying event with my last band (ex girlfriend was the singer).

LOL. God that crap happens all the time. My favourite local band split about a month ago simply because the drummer and singer broke up. And they weren't just your average garage band either.

i use to play guitar but i fell in love with playing the bass. i actually converted one of my old basses into a four string guitar, its a bass body tuned like a guitar, its pretty sweet

I play the piano and guitar, both self taught - so not that great, and I have to have sheet music/chords in front of me, I'm terrible at memorizing songs! My son wants a guitar for Christmas, so hopefully I can talk one of my guitar playing friends into giving him and me lessons soon! Got my fingers and toes crossed on that one!
