Ben, I really don't know much of Hunter's solo stuff but I really enjoyed the Mott the Hoople album "Mott" quite a bit. That one pops into rotation in my CD player quite often!
Good pick! A great album. You know, there's a lot of Ian Hunter solo material floating around but I've never actually seen an Ian Hunter record (or CD) in anybody's house, car or boat. So I was surprised to see mention of his name.
Along those lines, I always thought "Mott The Hoople" was an under-played and overlooked band as well.

both of those versions are good too... but Mountain was badass... Kinda like Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush - Its old school rock, but its still great.
