I have been perplexed by his attitude before, but I can definitely relate to his bitterness. I think every man has been "shot down" before, or felt alienated because of his looks, clothes, wealth, whatever. I read a post from Ben del Amitri once about some woman hurling a burrito at him for his "temerity" complimenting her feet! His perspective is that this is the cost of doing business... and for every negative experience he's had the positives are more than worth the cost. I won't argue that mate-selection (like life in general) is fair (check out "hotchickswithdouchebags.com); but don't lose perspective. Don't dismiss EVERY WOMAN because you've seen some that are too shallow for your tastes (would you want women to equate you with every Jersey-shore asshat they've ever met?) I think the main message is that women desire more desirable men (duh) AND there is more to desirability than looks, clothes, money (though it definitely helps). I usually focus on a particular color of polish the woman might be wearing, or the cute or unique pair of shoes they have on. I have always had some kind of rapport with the woman though. I have never made a cold comment on a woman's feet that she did not already open the door to.

I've complimented alot of girls on their feet but they generally bring up the topic of feet or shoes.... Like last week my best friends wife started saying how big her feet are now and she hate it cause she can't find shoes. I said they dont look big to me, thats went she said " i'm a size 12" her and her husband are almost same size!!!! I said "really? wow they are big!!! I didn't notice cause your feet always look good!" she smiled " yeah I give my self a pedi a couple times a week".... I was hard by now so i said" I can tell your feet look soft and your nails are always perfect, but even with out a pedi i think your feet have a nice shape"
