Two teams in the NFL this season have gone on lengthy winning streaks after losing to the Cleveland Browns: the New Orleans Saints, and the New England Patriots.
Interesting (to sports fans, at least), and odd!
EDIT: It also helps to have Drew Brees and Tom Brady, respectively. Just saying.

The one and only scientific study that has ever been done on the carcinogenic effects of second-hand smoke has been disproved. Yet we have the banning of it in public places, stating the main reason to be health of those around you.

Way back when, in MI5 the honourable and pleasingly named Mr Cummings, head of MI5, is quoted as saying "Every man has his own, unique stylus" in reference to the fact that, as with lemon juice, semen could be used as an "invisible ink" for operatives behind enemy lines to pass and receive messages to their handlers.

One of my favourite books, "Lord of the Flies" by Willy Golding was initially referred to by a publisher as:“an absurd and uninteresting fantasy which was rubbish and dull.”
To date, the book has been required reading in high schools for nearly fifty years, 14.5 million copies have been sold, and Golding’s work has been adapted for film twice.
